The Acting Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC) Mr. Ibrahim Magu is not Arrested. Rather, he is called to Panel for investigation.
The EFCC Boss is alleged to be detained by the DSS which is unfounded and a product of rumour mills.
The Acting Chairman of EFCC for the past Five Years, was invited by the Abubakar Malami (SAN), the Attorney General of The Federation over perceived Corruption and improper Financial Management.
The Spokesman of EFCC, Dele Oyewale, made it public in a Statement On Monday.
The Chairman, Mr Ibrahim Magu on Monday, July 6th 2020 was invited by the Presidential Panel to brief them on the Activities of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission at the Presidential Villa Abuja.
“He was served the invitation to the panel while on his way to the Force Headquarters, Abuja for a meeting.
The EFCC’s boss was neither arrested nor forced to honour the invitation. A member of a legal team from the EFCC is also with him on the panel.”
